There are many reasons why this site strengthens Catholic Faith. I have listed some of them below.
- Mary's House in Ephesus is a significant site to all Catholics. All who visit this site deepen their faith, and gather a deeper understanding of the purity, holiness and relevance of Mary to the Catholic faith.
- Mary is very significant in the Catholic faith - after all she is the Mother of Jesus. A lot of people journey to Mary's House to expand their connection with Mary, and reflect on her life and purity.
- The site is related to "The Assumption of Mary", therefore a lot of pilgrims will engage in this journey to celebrate it.
- Pilgrims who visit this site pray - however it is different to their daily prayers at home. Praying at Mary's house give visitors a sense of "spiritual success", as they have gained a better knowledge and understanding of their faith.

- Because of its significance, many important people have visited this site. Pope Paul VI visited Mary's house on the 26th of July, 1967, and Pope John Paul II on the 30th of November, 1979. During his four-day pastoral trip to Turkey, Pope Benedict XVI visited the house on the 29th of November, 2006.
